Home Loans : Floating rate or Fixed rate ?

Lot of people will be wondering , whether to go for fixed rate interest or floating rate for a Home loan. In the below article we will try and help sort the difference between two and which one is the best suited in the present scenario. So what is fixed rate and floating rate? Fixed Rate : A Fixed rate home loan , is a loan where in theoretically the rate of interest on home loan is fixed for entire tenure of the loan. But in most cases in Indian banks its fixed for a period of 3 to 5 years and readjusted with PLR after that. One Floating Rate : In floating rate the interest rate on loan keep on changing as per the Prime Lending Rate (PLR), where in if the PLR increases the floating rate also increases at the same time. But if the PLR decreases the interest rate on the loan also decreases. So, Which loan to go for? floating rate or fixed rate? Well the answer lies in two things: 1) Tenure of the Loan                                                     2) Present Interest

Attack on Team Anna, next victory of Team Anna?

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."  -by  Mahatma Gandhi Well in terms of team Anna in can be said that, "First they ignore you, then they arrest you , then they attack you , and then you win" Well as per Mahatma Gandhi every movement goes through 4 phases. Similar can be drawn from the Anna Hazare's movement. Let us try and analyse this whole movement on this four phases. Phase I: First they ignore you When Anna Hazare and his team started for there movement in 2010 most of the government and policitcal parties ignored them. They dismissed the movement by saying that lokpal will be formed by the government when needed. The team later in March went and met the Prime Minister and asked him to form a joint drafting committee for the lokpal bill. The PM turned a deaf ear to their demand and even to threat of Anna Hazare of going for fast if their demand is not met. After the fast of 8th April, 2011 finally gover

Congress defeated in Hisar, major victory for Team Anna

The Hisar by poll have been histroic by many means. It was a direct fight between Team Anna and Congress, after Congress president refused to give in writting support for Jan Lokpal Bill of Anna Hazare. Anna Hazare had asked for letter of support for the bill from all the parties out of which only Congress denined the support letter. Seeing the same Anna Hazare had issued recorded video message to voters of Hisar and had asked them not to vote for congress considering there non commital to issue of Lokpal bill. The results are out and Congress has been given historic defeat by the people of Hisar in loksabha by-poll. The Congress candidate has lost the deposit in the election. After the Anna call congress had put up its all power to win the elections. The congress CM of Haryana had gone door to door during election campaing in Hisar, but it all seems to have gone down the drain. The final count of the election result showed Kuldeep Bishoni winning the seat followed by Ajay Chautal

A special tribute to Steve Jobs this weekend

The word “I” is one of the most powerful words but at the same time self destructing. We are often told not to overuse the word as it can exude “ego”. But when “I” is the prefix of any product one is assured of the magic it packs. The story of man behind all these products is a perfect recipe for any thriller movie- A college dropout, humble start from his garage, innovator in personal computing, a millionaire in his twenties, ousted from his own company when his was thirty (!!), made a comeback and helped the company back to its former glory and much beyond but died fighting pancreatic cancer…… The year 1955 must be mystical. The year when we lost ALBERT EINSTEIN but in the same year BILL GATES and STEVE JOBS were born. In his last days the great innovator Jobs started his journey just as most of early computer entrepreneurs/scientists- a college drop out and first lab as a garage. Teaming with his friend Steve Wozniak he went on to create the biggest brand on p

1 lakh Ghost Students in Mumbai alone.

In a recent count of students across the city around 1.2 lakh student were found to be non exisiting. Similarly in nanded district there were 1 lakh students which were bogus. The total fraud in Nanded district was alone around Rs. 1000 crores. Picture only for representation The statistics are quite shocking during the counting of students in whole of Maharashtra around 19 lakh students were found to be bogus. There by making a swindle of funds to the tune of Rs. 2565 crs approx. Which is state's total 10% of budget spent on education. The official from the education department said, "Even while granting school authorities a small leeway of about 3-4 per cent for discrepancies, officials are finding it hard to believe that as many as 19 lakh students of the official 2.01 crore total were genuine absentees" on the condition of anonymity. As per the education minister even if the total number of sham students out of 19 lakh expected to be bogus it will be a huge f

In next 48 hrs 25% of India will be in Dark !!!

Yes you heard it right!! There is huge power crisis staring in the face of the government of India. Starting from today NTPC India's largest power producer is left with only 10% of coal reserves, thanks to non availablitiy of coal from mines. The agitation in Telangana has already made already peculiar situation worse since large number of coal mines are in Telangana region. The worst case it that out of 20 power plants 5 have coal reserves for only next 24 hrs. The goverenement blames its on torrential rains which has made mining difficult. On an urgent basis the governement has allowed power companies to import coal, but the time for coal to reach India is a matter of debate. At present Maharashtra is providing only 11 hrs of power supply daily to its rural areas and 18 hrs to urban areas. Similarly situation in southern states is as peculiar as in power deficit states of north. But if nothing is done in next 48 hrs this load shedding will increase and leading to 25% of Ind

Is Sri Ram Sene the new Taliban of India?

The yesterday's attack by Ram Sene members on Prashant Bhushan for expressing his views bring our focus back to right wing group. Even earlier the Ram Sene group had attack women for visiting pubs in Bangalore. Again today some of the supporters of Team Anna were beaten outside Patiala house court. The members of Ram Sene group wanted release of the attackers. One of the supporter beaten was an elderly man whose grand daughter had helped break Anna's fast at Ramlila ground. Though one may or may not agree to the comments of Prashant Bhushan, it is in no way means that one should physically attack someone since he speaks what one does not agree to. At the same time in the past attack on women by the members of Ram Sene group is similar to the work of  Taliban across the border. Such radicalisation of the society by few who hold extremist ideas can be very dangerous for the nation. The only difference between Ram Sene and Taliban is AK-47. In one of the interviews to news ch

Am I against Congress? (Anna issues statement on eve of Hisar by-elections)

Ralegan Siddhi, 12th October 2011. My dear sisters and brothers, Namaskar! I will be issuing an appeal to the people not to cast their vote for the forthcoming legislative assembly elections to be held in five states along with Uttar Pradesh if the government does not pass the Janlokpal Bill in the Parliaments Winter session. When I made this announcement on Gandhi Jayanti people from every corner of the world have been trying to get in touch with me and my associates to know what exactly my stand on the matter is. I want to clear a few things. 64 years have passed since our country achieved freedom. Majority of times Congress has been in power. After attaining ‘independence’ our country should have transformed in to ‘Surajya’(welfare state in true sense) In real sense there should have been development instead of exploitation of nature and human beings. Nothing of that sort happened. Development today is an illusion created by the government and at the same time people are

Hisar votes tomorrow and the Nation watches

Arvind Kejriwal of Team Anna with large supporters at Hisar All eyes will be on the Hisar elections, when on 13th Oct, the consistuency of Hisar votes for lok sabha by-polls. The seat came up for reelection after the sitting MP passed away. Hisar would have been a regular election which would have gone unnoticited but the presence of Team Anna in the consituency makes it all more important. The election has become prestige issue for congress which had earlier dismissed Hisar by elections are non-crticical. Kiran Bedi addressing large gathering at Hisar After Congress denied giving support letter to team Anna on Jan Lokpal saying the matter is before standing committee. Whereas all other parties fighting elections in Hisar have given their support letter except for Congress.Thereby Team Anna has made it an election issue so that Congress changes its stance and votes in favour and brings the lokpal bill in the coming session of parliament. Hence there has been hectic paraly

Desperate for media attention, Digvijay Singh attacks Team Anna

Diggi Raja as popularly known, is quite synonymous with controversies. But this days he is raking up new controversies by attacking Team Anna. Before coming to this lets take up the old controveries and the reason for him being Rakhi Sawant of Indian politics. Today there are jokes on twitter which reads, "Digvijay suspects RSS hand behing RSS feed". The one recently posted on facebook which reads, "Digvijay to teach young politicans on how to stay on news media 24*7". Last time after 26 /11, he went on record to say that he had got call from late Hemant Karkare, before he died that RSS is involved in terror attacks. Later on he goes on to attack Anna Hazare saying that its RSS backed movement, whereas Digvijay had himself seek support of Anna Hazare few years back when he was CM of Madhya Pradesh. At the same time he calls Osama Bin Landen as "Osamaji", while attacks all the safforn  parties So why sudden attack on Anna Hazare? What has changed s

Congress defeat in Hisar can lead to passing of Jan Lokpal

Since the day Anna Hazare gave a call for passing of Jan Lokpal Bill every day has been a nervous day for the political parties. Especially the ruling party at the center i.e. Congress UPA alliance. Though Anna and his team had several meeting with the Congress led government for the effective and strong Lokpal bill , every-time the government tried to block there views. Now it becomes critical for team Anna to hit the Congress where it hurts the most , Elections. The Hisar by elections is a testing time for all Indians, if the congress gets defeated on the Jan lokpal issue it will have to get it passed by the winter session of the parliament. So what if congress gets defeated in Hisar by election? How will it affect the national scene and Jan lokpal bill passing? If the congress gets defeated due to the Anna Hazare call, then party will has to sit and listen to people of India for the passing of the lokpal bill at the earliest, failing to which the Team Anna will begin its cam
