On saturday the Uttarakhand cabinet clear passing of Lokayukta Bill which brings amendment to its original lokayukta. This amendment makes its one of the most power lokayukta amongst states. The bill will be presented in the assembly today for discussion and will be voted on it on 1st november. Once passed by the legislature the bill will go for governor assent and will become law. CM of Uttarakhand The Uttarakhand Chief Minister had invited Team Anna to provide their views on the Lokayukta Act. The member of team Anna also confirmed that 3 more states of Orissa, Bihar and Punjab had invited them for drafting a lokayukta act on similar lines of the powerful Jan Lokpal bill.
